References & Thank Yous
Toni Pitkin - Marketing Coordinator - Maines Paper and Food Services Inc. - ,Internal Memo to Co-worker - "Just following up on our conversation this morning. Jim Smith (drummer) is now in a band called "Rooster". I went to see them Friday night. They were spectacular! When I walked into Flahsbacks at 7 PM, EVERYONE was dancing. I have never seen such crowd involvement that early in the night. They are a large show band with keyboards, guitarists, drums, and a horn section. The quality of the music and vocals is outstanding. If we decide to do an after hours party at the Turning Stone I wanted to suggest we hire them.... Thanks." (Editor's Note: Reprinted by permission)
Ingrid Hanley - "I wanted you to know that you have been the talk of the town since your Old Forge performance ! What a fantastic time we all had at Mom and Dad's (50th Wedding Aniversary) party. Thanks again for making that day one that will never be forgotten! Have a great summer. - Ingrid"
Karin Terebessy and Lee Hansen (wedding reception) - "Dear Rooster and the Roadhouse Horns, Thank you all so much for the most tremendous wedding ever. Tara (Hall) and Eric Dietrich (wedding reception) - "You'll be getting a proper thank you note in the mail along with one of their wedding pics in a few weeks, but I wanted to let you know we had a GREAT time! The music was great, but even better was your ease at incorporating all the last minute changes we made at the reception! Everyone loved your band, and had a great time. If I had it to do over, I'd have you guys play it again just as you did :) God Bless, Tara"
Maureen (McGuire) and Pete Mirabito (wedding reception) - "To everyone at Rooster- Pete and I have just returned from our honeymoon... although we were miles away, you can bet that you were never far from our conversations during the week. When Pete asked me to marry him, after the initial high of it all, we knew that we wanted our friends and family and those we loved to witness not only an incredible Sacrament between two people who love each other, but also wanted them to let go from the everyday details of life and have a rockin' time at our reception. Pete and I have been bombarded with notes, phonecalls, emails about our reception-- and most said, "It was the best reception we have ever attended!" You guys and your music are the biggest reason for that. Another couple from New Jersey pulled us aside and said, "We have heard bands in New Jersey, NYC, and the greater metropolitan area, but never have we heard a band as fantastic as Rooster." There were people on that dance floor who we haven't seen smile and relax in years-- let alone dance! You have a magical way of opening people up.You were all incredible, and you made it happen through your talent, personality, and intution ... what Pete and I had wished-- for everyone to experience the joy and happiness that we did. Thank you a million times-- Maureen and Pete"

You people have built a monument of love. Thank you so very, very much. Don & Ami "
Kristina (Knowles) and Vitor Schneider (wedding reception) - "Thank you so much for a great day! I wanted your group at our wedding, because I knew you would sound great but also would be easy to work with. One less worry on a hectic day! You fulfilled all of our requests, even willing to help out in a dare about singing and being able to play a DO NOT Play song. Your group's professionalism and attention through out the day was perfect. Our guests are still talking about how much they enjoyed themselves and all the time they spent dancing! The pictures online were great -- I forwarded the message to all of my friends. It was a great way to get out a quick thank you to all of our friends and family with some pictures to share!"
(Note: Kristina is also the Director of Services at the Radisson Hotel in Corning, NY. That's where she got to know us - Last year she had hired us to play at the Radisson for their New Year's Eve Dinner Dance, which by the way, we are doing again this year so come party with us! Julie (Diehl) and Jeff Stuart (wedding reception) - "What a great idea to take pictures and put them on your website. The pictures you took look wonderful. All of our friends and family have been checking them out. Boy is the internet a wonderful invention! Jeff and I would like to thank you for a truly amazing evening! Rooster and the Roadhouse Horns helped to make our wedding reception absolutely perfect
and totally exceeded all of our expectations! The energy level that the band provided was exactly what we were looking for to keep our guests entertained throughout the night. We have received many wonderful
compliments from our guests on how much fun they had with the band, especially with the crowd participation. I would recommend Rooster to anyone who is looking to have a fun and energetic band play at their event! Thanks also to Rooster for making our planning process extremely easy and stress free - something that every bride hopes for! You all were truly professional to work with. I have to say that I was a little nervous when you called us in January to tell us the band had a new lead singer. But let me tell you - Freddy is top notch and a wonderful addition to Rooster and the Roadhouse Horns! Thanks for everything and we look forward to seeing the band sometime in the future! Fondly, Jeff & Julie"
Mandy (Brummer) and KC Choy (wedding reception) - "I am writing you to say THANK YOU! We truly have wonderful memories of our wedding day and thanks to you we had a great reception! People gave us lots of complements on the band & you! We especially appreciated you learning "Cheek to Cheek" and "Time After Time". You really go the extra mile to make it extra special! Thank you and the entire band again."
Emily (Vitarius) and David Bednarski (wedding reception) - "Dear Rooster... We had a very enjoyable experience working with Rooster and the Road House Horns for our July wedding. Leading up to our wedding day we e-mailed back and forth and any questions that we had were always answered promptly. The website and "wedding planner" form were also very helpful and you made sure that we didn't leave anything out. The music at our reception was perfect. Rooster's music added so much to the atmosphere, but without being overpowering. The music had great variety and a great sound! We also were quite impressed that you took pictures of our reception and had them on the website within a day or two. All in all we would recommend Rooster and the Road House Horns to anyone! --- Emily and Dave, Pittsburgh PA"
Tami (Dawson) and Byran Holland (wedding reception) - "We received so many calls about how nice the wedding was and how great the band was. You helped create memories that will last for a lifetime. You guys were amazing. Thanks again, Bryan and Tami"
Joyce Rozen, account executive at MIX 103.3 FM Radio (Annual MIX 103.3 Sweetheart's Dinner Dance) - "To ROOSTER AND THE ROADHOUSE HORNS, You were the Highlight of our MIX103.3 Valentine's Dance on February 14, 2003 !! Last year was such a success we had no choice but to offer an event to our listeners that they have been asking about all year long again! It is no wonder it was a SOLD OUT event ...we even had to turn down people because of the limited capacity! Apparently our listeners enjoy the music on Mix 103.3 AND for LIVE MUSIC, ROOSTER AND THE ROADHOUSE HORNS! Endwell Greens provided the atmosphere and sumptuous food...our DJ's and many clients provided entertainment between sets and many wonderful prizes...but it was your band that had everyone on their feet all night long! Didn't matter that the dance floor couldn't hold them all... people danced all around the room!! The addition of Freddy Mendoza proved to be a choice our listeners approved of... they couldn't get enough of his true showmanship... and even were easily persuaded to participate with all the various instruments he circulated to the audience! Your entire group amazed us with delicately performed ballads to the best Chicago cover tunes never heard by any other group in our area. The horn section blew us away!! The rhythm section...Guitar, keyboards and drums...WHEW, you guys are like ONE! You'd think you were in Madison Square Gardens that night listening to a popular professional national act that's been together for 25 years!! ( I personally can't get enough of the Santana & Clapton sounds from that awesome Guitarist!! ) What more can I say? Your band has more than earned the title of "MIX103.3's Band of Choice for LIVE Music". I think ANY social event, including wedding receptions, society balls, or ANY event that calls for a wide variety of music will be totally blown away by ROOSTER AND THE ROADHOUSE HORNS. Next year we will have to find a much larger room to accomodate all the people who love the sounds of your band. Thank you all for a SUPERIOR performance!!!"
Alan & Betsey Stuart (wedding reception) - "Hi to all of you: As the parents of Jeff Stuart, we want to say "Thank You" for the wonderful music last night at Jeff and Julie's reception. Everyone is still talking about how great the band was. We didn't know how talented our sons (Jeff and Rob) were until we heard
their rendition of Sweet Home Alabama??? Who knew?? In all seriousness, thank you sooo much. We all had a great time and if you ever need a reference don't hesitate to use us. Much success in the future."
Doug Vitarius (wedding reception) - "Dear Rooster, We had a wonderful time at the wedding reception, and you had a big part in it! The low-key music before dinner was perfect, which allowed people to converse and listen, too. The songs after dinner were wonderful, as well. Carol (Carole Canfield, special guest singer) is a dynamite singer ... I especially enjoyed "Breathe" and "Unchained Melody".... Thanks for not "just doing a gig", but going further to make "a human connection" with the people you were playing for. I can't believe it's all over, but it will be a wonderful memory for all of us, and, most importantly, for Emily and Dave. I know Emily was thrilled with the way the entire day went, and, believe me, that made her dad very, very happy. Sincerely, Doug Vitarius (father of the bride)"
Kathleen (Vieira) and Doug Jordan (wedding reception) - "Hi Rooster, (regarding posting wedding reception photos on Rooster's website) ... What a great surprise! I didn't know that you provided this service. Thank you all for making our day so special. You were absolutely wonderful and everyone has been raving about you! Thank you also for taking the time to learn the special songs we chose. The final dance Medley was fabulous and really topped off the night. We will keep checking your schedule so when we are in town we will hopefully be able to hear you again."
Jim & Debbie Tuttle (Annual MIX 103.3 Sweetheart's Dinner Dance) - "Rooster & the Roadhouse Horns, We would like to let you know that we had a great time Friday night at the Valentine's Dinner Dance. It was our first time attending this event. The dinner was very good, and your group was fabulous!!!! We enjoyed dancing the night away to your music and hope to hear you again sometime soon."
Meg and Jason Lasicki (wedding reception) - "To all the members of Rooster and the Roadhouse Horns, We cannot begin to thank you enough for how special you made our wedding day. A number of our guests thanked us for having you as the band that brought back memories of their own weddings and special moments. The talents that you all possess surpassed our every hopes. You are truly a crowd pleaser. Also, please accept our thanks for going beyond the call of duty to perform special songs for our grandparents. You truly made everyone's time a memorable one. Our sincerest thanks..."
Peggy Snodgrass, Guthrie Gala Committee Chairperson (dinner dance) - "We were fortunate enough to have been able to book Rooster for our annual Guthrie Gala this past May. Our event is a black tie dinner dance that raises money for a pre-chosen local charity. This year's event was a huge success, owed a great deal to Rooster. They were able to successfully gauge their music choices to the crowd, and even had people out of their seats, dancing, during dinner! After dinner, the dancefloor overflowed, as Rooster kicked it up a notch, utilizing all the considerable talent of their musicians and vocalists. The brass section adds a special touch, not often available in local dance bands, and many guests commented on how much they enjoyed it. I would highly recommend this band for any function. They are delightful to work with, extremely accommodating. We have already booked them for next year's event!"
Deborah and Bob Battaglini (wedding reception) - "As if Rooster's exceptional musical and vocal talents weren't enough, the band even learned and performed "Destiny" (a song not released or played on the radio) for our first dance as husband and wife. They went the extra mile to set up before our guests arrived at the reception and played until the very last moments of the evening with few breaks. The band was always very reassuring and confident that Rooster would make our reception a memorable one. Well, in fact Rooster totally exceeded our expectations! From the very first time we contacted Rooster we knew we had made the right choice, we feel that anyone looking for first class entertainment for their wedding reception will feel the same way. To all the band members: Thank you so much for such a wonderful, professional and entertaining evening that we and our guests still rave about. You can count on many recommendations coming from us!"
Kristina Knowles (Director of Services - Radisson Hotel, Corning, NY - New Year's Eve Dinner Dance) - "Our Front Desk and Restaurant staff only heard good things on January 1st from our guests! then in a later note ... You guys are tops! I am still hearing good things from New Year's Eve and I know from my end you were the easiest and most professional band I have worked with in ages."
Susan Gillespie (General Manager of Endwell Greens Golf Club) - "Hi Rooster, I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for making this year's Endwell Greens Annual Men's Member Guest Tournament a huge success. I continually receive comments from our members on how much they enjoyed your band. You seemed to size up our group rather quickly and played what they wanted to hear. What a Great time! Thanks Again."
Carol and Russ Everitt (wedding reception) - "Dear Rooster and the Roadhouse Horns, We just wanted to write you to let you know how special you helped to make our wedding day! I received so many compliments on the band, we couldn't have made a better choice. Your music was just the right mix for our friends and family, with swing as well as the traditional wedding dances for the kids. Several people have asked me how to get in touch with you, so hopefully you will have some additional business coming your way! And you did a wonderful job MCing the activities and going with the flow (since we were our usual unorganized selves!) Thanks again for everything and we hope to see you soon!"
Joyce Rozen, account executive at MIX 103.3 FM Radio (Spiedie Fest concert - Binghamton, NY) - "On behalf of MIX103.3 and myself...Rooster and the Roadhouse Horns were SUPER at the Spiedie Fest @ Otsiningo Park!! We brought in many bands for the event that were good... but as our Official Band of Choice, you all put on an outstanding performance! Karen and Al Tricomi (wedding reception) - "We had a blast! I'm only sorry we didn't get a chance to thank you personally that day -- it just went so fast! Rooster and the Roadhouse Horns earned high marks with everyone there -- I would recommend you to anyone. I had a lot of people tell me they had more fun dancing at our wedding than they have in years. That's just what I wanted! Thanks for making the day so special. Fondly..."
Amy and Hans Geiger (wedding reception) - "To the whole Rooster Gang,.. Thank you so much for helping to make our wedding a memory to last a lifetime!
